Hot yoga, warm yoga, yin yoga… No matter what kind of yoga you do, no matter what your level, every yoga mat needs to be cleaned often! Playing Photographer at the Catskill Trail Marathon 2016…
O
Yesterday was the 2nd annual Catskill Trail Marathon, directed by Mike Siudy and Charlie Godol. Did I run it you ask? HECK NO! It is one of the “gnarliest” trail marathons on the east coast of the USA. It takes a very special kind of runner to finish this beast of a course. It is a rugged 26+ mile course, with 7000+ elevation gain- many miles in the backcountry, rock ledges, steep ascents/descents, and since its start- wet and slippery conditions! The winning time was 4 hours, 41 minutes. Ben Nephew saved the day and showed what a true athlete is made of when he helped race-mate David Kilgore patch up a gash in his head after having it meet with an angry tree. Both ran it in together to tie for first place! Makes for a fun day, huh? I got to bear witness to this amazing story, and watch another 87 people cross the finish line as the rain subsided (for the most part). I got to play photographer and capture some pretty amazing shots of relief, happiness, accomplishment, and elation! It was such a great learning experience!!! WOW~ (more…)

Why is NingXia Red so healthy?
Calling all athletes, active people, or anyone wanting to live a healthy life…..
For the past month, I have been drinking NingXIa Red made by Young Living. Ningxia Red is an amazing antioxidant “juice” blend made of the wolfberry (goji) superfruit and several essential oils. It is said to be one of the most powerful blends around, and is whole-body nutrient infusion. I started drinking it because I wanted to try something to help boost my energy level, as well as better my health. I gave myself a 30 day challenge. I HAD to share this experience! As someone who is an active person wanting to live a healthy life, I love that Ningxia Red can have such a powerful punch to boost my energy and support my body without any harmful, synthetic chemicals or unnatural ingredients! For all of you out there drinking those scary energy drinks, give this one a test! Take the Ningxia Red challenge! (more…)

What is it like to run 100+ miles?!?!
Just over a month ago, my husband Mike, ran in the Massanutten Mountain Trail 100, a rugged 103.7 mile trail race in the Appalachian Mountains. Many of you- friends and family, already know this from the pictures I posted and have already heard about the experience. Many of our friends are runners, and many of you have done multiple 100+ mile races. You folks can most definitely relate. However, if you are like me, you can’t even fathom running that distance- let alone about 17,000+ feet of elevation gain. That is why I am writing this piece. I am not writing this so he can “toot his own horn” (even though he deserves the accolade). It took some convincing of Mike to sit down with me and undergo this “interview”. To ME, this endeavor serves as an inspiration and I am very proud of him. It really brought to light that it IS truly possible to do anything you put your mind to. I wanted to share this awesome motivating experience with you….So what is it like to run 100+ miles….. (more…)
