If you have a dog, you know that their breath can be SO bad! There have been times that Dexter has sent me running in the other direction after breathing on me, gasping for fresh air.  Why is the case? Dogs have the same issues as humans when it comes to their mouths.  If the plaque, tarter, and bad bacteria aren’t cleaned out of their mouth often regularly, tooth decay, bad breath, and a number of other problems can present themselves.  I have made this DIY Natural Dog Toothpaste to use with Dexter.  I wanted to use an all natural paste that was effective without allowing him to ingest the ones sold commercially These are usually laden with synthetic-chemicals, colors, and additives. In fact, the last tube of doggie toothpaste contained about 20 ingredients, some of which I couldn’t pronounce the names of.   In about 3 minutes flat, I whipped up a batch of this DIY Natural Toothpaste. Everyday (I like to say everyday but in reality- every few days) I “brush” Dexter’s teeth to help them stay pearly white, and to not scare me away with his breath. 🙂 (more…)
